Emma Cecilia Ferreira, a Colombian sculptor with significant international impact, studied art at Nazareth College in New York and graduated cum laude in 1984. Throughout her career, Ferreira has evolved from a more figurative style toward increasing abstraction, finding in it the freedom of interpretation she wishes to offer the viewer. She prefers not to title her works, so as not to influence how they are perceived. Her goal is to create movement without displacement and to awaken the senses through her sculptures, establishing a unique visual language that has captivated audiences around the world.
